Yokohama Tire Named ‘Official Tire’ of New Mustang Cup Series
All competitors will race on ADVAN® A005/A006 tires
Yokohama Tire announced today it’s been named the Official Tire of Mustang Cup, a new six-round race series sanctioned by USAC. The series debuts April 11-13, 2025 at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, LA. Each 500hp+ Ford Performance-engineered Mustang Dark Horse R will boast Yokohama’s ADVAN® A005 slicks or A006 wet racing tires, ensuring top performance for the one-make series.
Unique to Mustang Cup is the optional two-driver format. Each race in a doubleheader format will count towards separate championships – the Miles Cup and Parnelli Cup – allowing two-driver teams to pursue separate championships or one driver to compete in both. Each Mustang Cup stop on the schedule will feature two 15-minute qualifying sessions and two 40-minute races with one qualifying session and one race dedicated to each championship.
