Yokohama Tire Corporation Recommended Cold Inflation Pressures

Tire Size Steer
Single
Drive
Duals
Trailer
Duals
11R24.5 (14PR) 105 psi 90 psi 90 psi
285/75R24.5 (14PR) 110 psi 90 psi 90 psi

In this example, the drive duals are set at 80 psi plus 10 psi for compensation between airing and steers are set at recommended +10 psi for handling. Trailer tires are set at recommended +10 psi to compensate between airings.

These recommendations as outlined should be adopted and used for all Yokohama truck/bus tires when the tires are new and first installed on the vehicle. If they are adopted after the tires have operated and established a wear pattern, the pressures in and by themselves will not have an effect on lessening the wear conditions or correcting an irregular wear pattern.

The pressures will only be effective in preventing wear if used from the point of the original mounting.

Keep in mind that tires are designed, developed and manufactured to operate at a design deflection that is governed totally by recommended inflation pressures and varies by manufacturer. Some manufacturers recommend lower inflation pressures because their design deflection is set at that inflation pressure.

If there are any questions regarding these recommendations, please contact your Yokohama representative.
