Yokohama Tire Sponsoring Three NFL Teams, Two College Teams

FULLERTON, Calif. - (Aug. 15, 2007) - Ready for some football? America's most popular sport is the latest marketing arena for a variety of Yokohama Tire Corporation promotions, according to Dan King, Yokohama vice president of sales. Starting this fall, Yokohama is partnering with the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, as well two high-visibility college teams, the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans.

The football promotions follow successful partnerships with two minor league baseball teams this season, the Triple-A Columbus Clippers and the Double-A Reading Phillies.

"We think football's immense popularity, on the pro and college levels, makes it the perfect place to showcase our lineup of tires, including ADVAN®, S.drive™, PARADA®, Geolandar® and AVID®," said King. "All the promotions we have planned should score big with our dealers and their customers."

Yokohama will sponsor the teams and execute promotions that will drive traffic to dealers. One promotion King cited was a jersey giveaway where dealers in the specific markets would offer free, authentic replica team jerseys to every customer who buys four tires. Yokohama will also have signage, product displays and events at the stadiums, plus radio spots, presence on the teams' Websites and newsletters, and other corporate identifications.
